Recon Capital, the issuer behind the Recon Capital Nasdaq 100 Covered Call ETF and the Recon Capital DAX Germany ETF, has expanded its suite of products with the launch of the Recon Capital FTSE 100 ETF, the only U.S.-listed ETF benchmarked to the FTSE 100. The fund is slated to be available for trading on April 29, 2015.

Deutsche dissolving target-date ETFs
April 29, 2015--Deutsche Asset & Wealth Management is liquidating its X-trackers target-date retirement exchange traded funds.
The five retirement-themed funds-In-Target Date, 2010 Target Date, 2020 Target Date, 2030 Target Date and 2040 Target Date-will stop accepting creation orders on May 15 and will cease trading on May 18, according to a Deutsche AWM release.

Federal Reserve issues FOMC statement
April 29, 2015--Information received since the Federal Open Market Committee met in March suggests that economic growth slowed during the winter months, in part reflecting transitory factors. The pace of job gains moderated, and the unemployment rate remained steady.
A range of labor market indicators suggests that underutilization of labor resources was little changed. Growth in household spending declined; households' real incomes rose strongly, partly reflecting earlier declines in energy prices, and consumer sentiment remains high. Business fixed investment softened, the recovery in the housing sector remained slow, and exports declined. Inflation continued to run below the Committee's longer-run objective, partly reflecting earlier declines in energy prices and decreasing prices of non-energy imports. Market-based measures of inflation compensation remain low; survey-based measures of longer-term inflation expectations have remained stable.

Treasury ETFs Inflows Outpacing All Other Bond Funds This Month
April 27, 2015--Exchange-traded funds that hold U.S. Treasuries are seeing more cash inflows this month than any other fixed-income funds for the first time this year.
U.S. government debt ETFs have brought in $1.5 billion since March, according to Bloomberg data. If that trend holds, it will be the first time since October that inflows into the funds will outpace those of other bond ETFs.

Vanguard looking to license its cost-cutting ETF patent
April 26, 2015--Vanguard is considering letting others in on its exclusive right to offer exchange traded funds as a share class of existing mutual funds through a licensing agreement with USAA.
Officials from the two firms confirmed they are negotiating a deal that would give USAA access to Vanguard's patent-protected ETF share class methodology.

April 23, 2014--As of March 31, 2015--Assets in the actively managed ETF space contracted by less than 1% during March which is not out of line given the decline in U.S. equity markets during the month.
Despite this small pullback, notable asset growth did progress in other areas, notably led by the Bank Loan category.
