Treasury International Capital Data For December
February 16, 2016--The U.S. Department of the Treasury today released Treasury International Capital (TIC) data for December 2015. The next release, which will report on data for January 2016, is scheduled for March 15, 2016.
The sum total in December of all net foreign acquisitions of long-term securities, short-term U.S. securities, and banking flows was a monthly net TIC outflow of $114.0 billion.

Purpose Investments Announces It Has Become Manager and Trustee of Silver Bullion Trust
February 12, 2016--Purpose Investments Inc. ("Purpose"), is pleased to announced it has become the manager and trustee of Silver Bullion Trust ("SBT") following unitholder approval on January 26, 2016 of certain amendments to SBT's Amended and Restated Declaration of Trust (the "DOT").
The approved amendments of the DOT enable SBT to convert into an exchange traded fund ("ETF Conversion").

State Street Global Advisors Announces Changes to the SPDR® DB International Government Inflation-Protected Bond ETF
February 12, 2016--State Street Global Advisors (SSGA), the asset management business of State Street Corporation (NYSE: STT), today announced changes to the name and index of the SPDR DB International Government Inflation-Protected Bond ETF.
Effective February 12, 2016, the fund was renamed the SPDR Citi International Government Inflation-Protected Bond ETF and began tracking the Citi International Inflation-Linked Securities Select Index.

Exchanges warn against giving brokers power over key decisions
February 11, 2016--Exchanges including the New York Stock Exchange and Nasdaq have written to lawmakers arguing against giving brokers and investors power over key decisions affecting the US equities market.
At issue are the rules and operation of areas such as dissemination of consolidated quote and trade information via Securities Information Processors, or SIP, and safeguards for investors against market stress known as limit up/limit down price bands.
