Inexpensive cyclical sectors may benefit from an improving stock market
October 19, 2015--Following the equity market underperformance in the third quarter of 2015, Source research suggests that some of the more cyclical sectors in the US and European equity markets may be best positioned for a market recovery in the final quarter of the year.
Source is one of the largest providers of Exchange Traded Products (ETPs) in Europe, and its Multi-Asset Research team is pleased to announce that it has published its latest views on equity sector strategy for the US and Europe.
The latest edition of the Source Sector Selector weighs up the recent market performance, with the reasons for the weakness driven primarily by concerns about global economic growth, especially with current fears around China.

Deutsche Boerse completes 360T acquisition

October 15, 2015--Today Deutsche Börse completed the acquisition of 360T, following the approval of relevant antitrust authorities and the German Federal Financial Supervisory Authority (BaFin).
The trading platform remains under the regulatory supervision of BaFin and operates under the existing management team. Moreover, 360T's CEO Carlo Kölzer will join Deutsche Börse Group Management Committee.

Five new ComStage ETFs launched on Xetra
ETFs track long and short futures contracts on US government bonds for the first time
October 15, 2015--Four new exchange-listed bond index funds and one commodity index fund issued by ComStage have been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Thursday.
Two of the ComStage ETFs follow the strategy of tracking the total return of a long or short investment, which consists of two components: the performance of the futures contract on the effective interest rate of ten-year US government bonds plus interest on the non-tied capital at the effective federal funds rate.

New WisdomTree Smart Beta ETF launched on Xetra
Index fund offers access to high-dividend companies in Asian emerging markets
October 15, 2015--A new exchange-listed index fund issued by WisdomTree has been tradable on Xetra and Börse Frankfurt since Thursday. WisdomTree is primarily a smart beta ETF provider, using fundamental data to weight companies in the reference index.
The new WisdomTree ETF gives investors access to high-dividend companies from China, India, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, the Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand. The reference index comprises around 300 company stocks weighted by dividend. Individual company weightings are limited to 4.5 percent. In addition, sector or country allocation is limited to a maximum of 33.3 percent.

Economic Activity in Turkey Slowing Down as Political Uncertainty Continues, Says World Bank
October 14, 2015--Despite the expected slowdown in Turkey in the second half of the year, the faster GDP growth in the second quarter leads to revising up growth forecast to 3.2 percent for 2015 according to the World Bank's Turkey Regular Economic Brief[i] (October)-issued today in Ankara.
Seasonally adjusted GDP grew by 1.3 percent quarter-on-quarter in the second quarter.
