August 30, 2016-- Bats Global Markets, Inc. (Bats: BATS), the #1 market globally for trading in exchange-traded products (ETPs) today announced changes to its incentive schemes for market makers who play a pivotal role throughout the life cycle of ETPs.

Previously, the Exchange had offered an Issuer Incentive Program for all ETPs.

If the Olympics caused the markets to (almost) shut down for the previous couple of weeks it was threat of the Yellen speech at the Jackson Lake Lodge on Friday that derailed activity now.

Friday started with a downgrade to Q2 GDP by 0.1% to 1.1%. Then Yellen was kinda, sorta, almost hawkish in using the word "strengthening" to describe the economy and prospects for a hike. Domestic markets moved slightly higher on this, and we do mean slightly.

ETFGI reports assets invested in ETFs/ETPs listed in Canada reached a new record of 81 billion US dollars at the end of July 2016

August 29, 2016-- ETFGI, the leading independent research and consultancy firm on trends in the global ETF/ETP ecosystem, reported assets invested in ETFs/ETPs listed in Canada have increased 25.3% year to date to reach a new record of US$81 billion at the end of July 2016.

The Canadian ETF industry had 430 ETFs, with 585 listings, assets of US$81 Bn, from 17 providers listed on 2 exchanges, according to ETFGI’s July 2016 global ETF and ETP industry insights report.

Global X Funds Announces Index Change for Colombia ETF

August 26, 2016--Global X Funds, the New York based provider of exchange traded funds (ETFs), has announced that on or around the close of trading on August 31, 2016, the Global X MSCI Colombia ETF (NYSE Arca: GXG) will begin tracking the MSCI All Colombia Select 25/50 Index.

The MSCI All Colombia Select 25/50 Index applies additional liquidity screens on the MSCI All Colombia Index, which is designed to represent the performance of the broad Colombia equity universe

Global X Funds Limits Creations in Global X MSCI Nigeria ETF (Ticker: NGE)
