Intercontinental Exchange Completes Acquisition of S&P Global's Standard and Poor's Securities Evaluations and Credit Market Analysis
October 4, 2016--Intercontinental Exchange (NYSE: ICE), a leading operator of global exchanges and clearing houses and provider of data and listings services, announced it has today completed its all-cash acquisition of S&P Global's (NYSE: SPGI) Standard & Poor's Securities Evaluations (SPSE), a leading provider of fixed income evaluated pricing, and Credit Market Analysis (CMA), a leading provider of independent data for the over-the-counter (OTC) markets, including credit derivatives and bonds.
The transaction was announced in March.

Hartford Funds Launches US-Focused Real Estate ETF
October 4, 2016--Hartford Funds today has expanded its suite of strategic beta* exchange-traded funds ("ETFs") with the launch of the industry's first US-focused real estate investment trust ("REIT") ETF to apply the innovations of risk-first investment design with a multifactor approach (Ticker: RORE).
RORE seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond to the total return performance of the Lattice Risk-Optimized Real Estate Strategy Index (Bloomberg Ticker: LROREX), which tracks the performance of publicly traded real estate investment trusts.

Fund firms Janus Capital, Henderson agree merger
October 3, 2016--
Fund management firms Janus Capital and Henderson Global Investors have agreed an all-share merger to form a company managing more than $320 billion in assets, the firms said on Monday.
The merger will involve a share exchange in which each Janus share will be exchanged for 4.719 newly issued shares in Henderson, the firms said in a statement.

Fifteen Years After Decimalization, 'Tick Size' Widening for Some Small-Company Stocks
October 2, 2016--Beginning Monday, select companies will trade in five-cent increments instead of one-cent; pilot program to run for two years.
Shares in some small companies will start trading in five-rather than one-cent increments Monday, in the first adjustment to "tick" sizes since the decimalization of the U.S. stock market 15 years ago.
