ESMA UPDATES ITS Q&As RELATING TO THE PROSPECTUS REGULATION-continued

December 4, 2019-The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) has today updated its Questions and Answers on the Prospectus Regulation with two new Q&As.
The two Q&As provide clarification on the following issues in relation to the Prospectus Regulation:

The inclusion of pro-forma summaries in base prospectuses.
The application of prospectus disclosure annexes where securities do not fall neatly within a specific.

ESMA report values EU Alternative Investment Funds at EUR5.8 trillion
January 10, 2020--The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) today published its second statistical report on European Union (EU) Alternative Investment Funds (AIF). The study found that the EU AIF sector in 2018, as measured by Net Asset Value (NAV), amounted to €5.8tn or nearly 40% of the total EU fund industry.
