| Credit Suisse is today set to become the third bank in two months to sell new hybrid bonds – debt with equity-like features – following offerings from HSBC and UniCredit. Prior to that there had been a sustained period of no tier one hybrid issuance, in part because banks were convinced that regulators were set to outlaw the instruments. |
